Some may see us as “those crazy basset hound people” who will give up their heart, time, money, and space in their homes to save a dog.

 

The truth is…..that we are all kinds of people, from all walks of life, who have chosen to make a difference in the life of an abandoned companion animal and we are always looking for those that are willing to join the “Bark Forces”.

 

There are many ways that you can help a hound in need but since CBHR does not have a shelter, and is foster home based, one that is CRITICAL to our mission is having a place for a soul that has been forgotten, to lay their head at night.  Many say that it would be too difficult to let the dog go and we won’t tell you that it is easy.  However, the gratification of knowing you had an impact on so many is just not something that can be put into words.  This rewarding package comes complete with an amazing support system and all vet expenses are covered!  For more information, contact foster@cbhr.com.

Sadly, it is often the case that a hound that was previously neglected, requires extensive veterinary care before they are ready to start the next deserved chapter in their life.  Many months meet, or exceed $10,000 in expenses.  Please consider donating so that we can continue seeing so many happy hounds helped by CBHR and your generosity!
